Sandblasting and shot blasting

Sandblasting is one of the most effective methods for cleaning and restoring various surfaces. It utilises the kinetic energy of an abrasive medium, which removes contaminants under pressure without damaging the base material, quickly and with measurable results.

  • 3x faster: We reduce project completion times compared to conventional methods.
  • 100% eco-friendly: Sandblasting carried out entirely without chemicals and with respect for the environment.
  • Innovative blasting: Cleans even where traditional methods fail.
  • Year-round sandblasting: Maximum reliability in all weather conditions and across all sectors.

Whether you need to remove old paint, corrosion, grease or dirt, or prepare a surface for further treatment, professional sandblasting and shot blasting is a fast, effective, eco-friendly and cost-effective solution.

Sandblasting allows you to restore the appearance and functionality of metal, wood, concrete or stone surfaces without the need for labour-intensive manual work. Thanks to mobile technology, we can now travel anywhere and carry out sandblasting and shot blasting directly on your premises.

The result of our sandblasting work is a clean surface ready for painting, varnishing or further treatment.

Why choose professional sandblasting?

Mechanical grinding or chemical cleaning often fail to remove contaminants evenly and effectively. In contrast, sandblasting can penetrate even hard-to-reach areas and ensure a consistent result across the entire surface.

The main advantages include:

  • rapid removal of rust, paint and coatings,
  • thorough cleaning of irregular surfaces,
  • gentle sandblasting of sensitive materials and aluminium using low-pressure blasting,
  • preparation of materials for painting or galvanising,
  • extending the service life of structures,
  • minimal damage to the substrate,
  • mobile sandblasting carried out directly at the customer’s premises,
  • high efficiency for both large and small jobs.

What sandblasting can clean

Almost any solid material in need of a new lease of life. The strength of this method lies in its versatility. However, we most commonly provide:

Wood sandblasting

For example, sandblasting log cabins, timber-framed houses and wooden façades. Sandblasting wood removes old varnishes, weathered layers and surface mould without damaging the material’s natural structure.

Sandblasting and shot blasting of metal, iron and steel structures

Blasting of metals, gates, fences and industrial structures removes rust and old coatings down to a clean, bare surface.

Sandblasting of aluminium and light alloys

We use a finer abrasive for sandblasting aluminium and non-ferrous metals to prevent deformation of the material.

Sandblasting of stone, concrete and outdoor surfaces

Sandblasting concrete can remove, for example, graffiti, deposits and biological contamination. Sandblasting interlocking paving restores the surface’s colour and slip resistance without the need for replacement.

Sandblasting of automotive and motorcycle components, including classic cars

Detailed sandblasting of classic cars, historic chassis and bodywork delicately restores valuable parts. Our automotive services also include the sandblasting of alloy wheels and tyres, engines and steel components.

Industrial blasting and sandblasting of large structures

We carry out large-scale blasting and technical sandblasting of metals for industrial halls, the shipping and railway sectors, and load-bearing steel frames. Our specialised sandblasting work quickly removes deep corrosion.

How does the sandblasting process work?

Professional mobile sandblasting work does not end with our arrival on site. Every single job we carry out follows a clear process:

  1. Site survey and consultation: before the actual sandblasting and shot blasting begins, we assess the condition of the surface, the scope of the work, the appropriate abrasive medium and the necessary protection of the surrounding area.
  2. Site preparation: masking and covering areas that must not come into contact with the abrasive. For larger jobs, we also erect our own scaffolding.
  3. The sandblasting process itself: blasting with sand or another abrasive medium takes place under controlled pressure, always taking into account the type of material and the required finish.
  4. Cleaning and tidying up: once the sandblasting work is complete, we thoroughly clean both the surface and the surrounding area.
  5. Advice on subsequent treatment: as part of a comprehensive approach, this may be followed by the application of a protective coating or impregnation to ensure the sandblasted surface remains protected for as long as possible.

Price of sandblasting

The price for sandblasting depends on the type of surface, its condition, the size of the area and the complexity of the cleaning process itself. Different price lists apply to the sandblasting of metals, wood, concrete, discs or gates. For some smaller jobs, the price is determined per item; for sandblasting larger areas, the price is usually calculated per square metre.

The final price is primarily influenced by the extent of corrosion, the number of layers of old paint, the complexity of the surface, the accessibility of the site and the desired result. When carrying out work directly at the customer’s premises, transport and on-site technical conditions are also taken into account; therefore, the price for mobile sandblasting is determined on a case-by-case basis.

For a quick estimate, simply send us photographs, dimensions and a brief description of what you need to clean or prepare for further treatment. Based on this information, we will prepare a no-obligation quote, recommend the most suitable approach and agree on a possible date for the sandblasting. Frequently asked questions about sandblasting and shot blasting

What is the difference between sandblasting and shot blasting?

In practice, the terms ‘sandblasting’ and ‘shot blasting’ are often used interchangeably. However, ‘shot blasting’ refers to the general process of cleaning using an abrasive medium, which need not necessarily be sand.

What types of surfaces can be sandblasted?

Sandblasting and shot blasting are suitable for a wide range of materials and surfaces. We carry out sandblasting on metals, iron, aluminium, wood, concrete, stone elements and interlocking paving. A common part of our work also involves sandblasting gates, railings, steel structures, wheel rims, classic cars, log cabins and timber-framed houses.

What is the approximate price per square metre for sandblasting?

The price of sandblasting depends on the material, the scope and the complexity of the work. We prepare a detailed price list on a case-by-case basis for each specific order. Please contact us and we will draw up a no-obligation quote for bespoke sandblasting.

Is it possible to carry out the work directly at the customer’s premises?

Yes. We use mobile technology that enables us to carry out sandblasting work on site without having to move the structure.

Is the sandblasting method also suitable for old timber-framed houses or log cabins?

Yes. Sandblasting timber-framed houses and log cabins is one of the most effective methods for renovating historic timber buildings.

How long do the sandblasting works and the completion of the order take?

The duration of the project depends on the scope of the work. Smaller jobs (e.g. gates, interlocking paving, electric locks, discs) are usually completed within a day; larger projects (sandblasting of log cabins and timber-framed houses) are carried out according to an individual schedule, typically taking 3–5 days.

Can you also provide a coat of paint after sandblasting?

Yes. Once the sandblasting is complete, we will recommend a suitable protective system and, if required, we can also arrange for subsequent surface treatment.

Is sandblasting suitable for restoring classic cars?

Sandblasting classic cars is one of the most commonly used methods in the restoration of historic vehicles. It enables the removal of corrosion and old paintwork and prepares individual parts for repair or repainting.
